Visa credit cards

Visa is a payment network, not a card issuer. It moves money between your bank and the merchant. Your rewards, interest rate and annual fee are all set by the bank that issued the card. Visa's premium tier in Canada is Visa Infinite, which typically adds travel insurance, concierge service and dining benefits.

Does the network actually matter?

Less than people think. Rewards, interest rates and fees are set by the issuing bank, not the network, and we cover that in Visa vs Mastercard. Where it does matter is acceptance, and that's mainly an Amex consideration in Canada. To find the card that actually pays you most, use the card finder.
